The Barberettes and Sultan of the Disco to return to the UK
Indie retro girl group The Barberettes and funk quartet Sultan of the Disco are both making the return to the UK to perform as part of KCCUK’s K-Music Showcase. The two groups will be performing at The Forge in Camden on the 22nd May while both groups take on the festival circuit.
The Barberettes played in front of a packed house at the Forge back in 2015 and this time they’ll be back with new songs and a slightly different lineup.
This will also be a third return to the UK for Sultan of the Disco who have played Glastonbury both in 2014 and 2016 and follows a performance at Brighton’s The Great Escape festival where fellow Korean acts MC Sniper, Biuret and the Monotones are also making appearances.
The groups are also believed to be playing Liverpool’s Sound City festival (which sent a delegation to Hongdae’s Zandari Festa last year) but details are still to be announced.
